What is a Public Adjuster?

If you’ve never had a major insurance claim before, it is likely you are not familiar with our profession. A Public Adjuster is a professional claims handler who advocates for the policyholder in appraising & negotiating insurance losses. They legally represent the rights of the property owner, not the insurance company. Public Adjusters must be licensed by each state they work in after passing a strict examination administered by the Division of Insurance. The exam requires a comprehensive knowledge of insurance policies, first-party claims procedures, and construction costs.

Why Hire a Public Adjuster?

Most insurance claims are severely underpaid. Insurance companies commit themselves to cutting necessary repair costs and their payout to the policyholder. One side knows what they are doing and the other typically doesn’t. We can help protect your interests and uphold the insurance company’s obligation to make the proper payments you’re entitled to. Never settle for less!

Other Facts

Recover From a Disaster Faster!

The process of evaluating, completing, and submitting a claim as a policyholder is remarkably time-intensive. It’s a time when you should be focused on getting your business, home, or family back on a solid foundation rather than feeling the pressure of learning the ins and outs of the insurance claims process. Using a Public Adjuster will expedite the whole process so YOU can get your life back to normal as soon as possible.

We Navigate Complex Insurance Policies So You Don’t Have To

Insurance claims hold a variety of complex provisions, processes, clauses, legal terms, and issues that need to be addressed in order to maximize your settlement. Public adjusters have prior experience in construction and other related fields, and they use sophisticated software to undergo an independent evaluation of a client’s property loss. Public adjusters are better equipped than the average policyholder to estimate the costs incurred from a property loss and local work rates, which lead to higher, more accurate & fair settlements.

We Will Get You a Larger Settlement Opposed to Handling It on Your Own

A recent report by the Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability proved that the use of a public insurance adjuster does result in a 747% higher claim settlement payout as opposed to dealing with the insurance company directly.  The fact is, hiring a Public Adjuster will yield better results.

Don’t Risk Letting Your Insurance Company Replace Your Pottery Barn Stuff with Walmart Stuff

The values of particular items are often disputed in home insurance claims. If you’ve bought expensive items, your insurance company may say it can replace them with very similar items from Walmart or Target. The insured is entitled to be paid for what they had — not a knock-off version of it.

Estimation Process

We provide world-class 3D technology for estimating and negotiating purposes, ensuring that every detail of your claim is documented to maximize your settlement.

Below is a Mattaport Scan of MTM Motors which is one of our clients that had a major disaster at their auto body shop. This technology assisted in obtaining an award-winning settlement for them!

How Much Does it Cost to Hire a Public Adjuster?

With a Public Adjuster, there are no fees or upfront costs until we receive an agreed settlement. We charge up to 10% of the claim which is regulated by the Division of Insurance. We believe everyone should have quality representation. That’s why we work on a contingency fee basis, which means you only pay us when all parties are made whole.
